Writing to inspire, encourage, and enjoy

The cover reveal and pre-order link is coming on June 1st for my next full-length novel and the third in the Sheltering Trees series: On Bur Oak Ridge. This is a sneak-peek. I also thought I’d offer an excerpt from the book today.

My first inspiration and challenge for writing Under the Weeping Willow sprung from a question: what would it be like, as a daughter, to have a strained relationship with my mother? And what would be the driving force behind it?

Who’s thinking of Christmas in August? I am. 🙂 My first novella, Holly’s Homecoming, in my Botanical Seasons novella series releases November 4th, and I’m excited to share this sweet Christmastime read with you.

I’m super exciting to reveal this beautiful cover for my next novel, Under the Weeping Willow, in my inspirational historical fiction series, Sheltering Trees. This novel’s plot revolves around the relationship of a mother and daughter.

On Thursdays on social media, I’ve been sharing a quote from my newly released historical fiction novel, In a Grove of Maples. Today, I thought I’d give my blog followers a glimpse into my Thursday excerpts.

I’m thrilled to announce that it’s release day for In a Grove of Maples, my inspirational historical novel, inspired by my grandparents and their lives as Wisconsin farmers in the late 1890’s.

Do you enjoy reading books that are written, in part, through diary entries, or letters? If so, you’ll enjoy my upcoming novel, In a Grove of Maples. One of my main characters, Beryl Massart, keeps a diary. Each chapter opens with a diary entry of hers dated from the future, so readers gets a taste for what is ahead in the story and keeps them turning the pages.

Do you ever wonder where authors come up with book titles or the name of series? Let me tell you how the series title, Sheltering Trees, came to me.

I thought I’d share some of the inspiration behind the story of In a Grove of Maples, my upcoming historical fiction novel. When I finished writing my By the Light of the Moon series, I knew I wanted to go a different direction for my next novel and make it a less intricately woven story and one inspired by family.

I’m so thrilled to reveal the gorgeous cover for my next book, In a Grove of Maples, which is the first in a new series of books entitled: Sheltering Trees.
