Jenny Knipfer–Author

Writing to inspire, encourage, and enjoy

The summer has slipped by, and I have barely blogged. I’ve let a few things slide as my fatigue levels and some of my physical problems are getting worse. However, I want to make more of an effort again. I miss blogging, sharing my thoughts with you and some excerpts from my books. Today, I’d …

Another of my book babies (this is number nine so far) has entered the world. 🙂 I’m thrilled to announce that my third novel in my Sheltering Trees series, On Bur Oak Ridge, releases today! Also as a bonus, the first book In a Grove of Maples is free on Kindle now through July 31st. …

My novella, Violet’s Vow is on tour this month. On today’s stop–and with a healthy dose of imagination–my main character, flower shop owner Violet Brooks, is chatting with author Amy Walsh on her blog in her character cafe.

Do you ever wonder what it’s like to work in a flower shop? Well, read on for a little bit about my time as a designer working in a local flower shop. In my upcoming novella Violet’s Vow, I drew from my experiences in writing the flower shop scenes in Violet’s shop, Fragrant Sentiments.

I’ve getting back to an old love—reading at night before I go to bed. It makes me happy and helps me rest. My mind stays too active writing at night, so I had to switch that up. I read a number of excellent books last month: The Curator’s Daughter, A Change of Fortune, and Things We Didn’t Say.

As a part of the Coffee Pot Book Club, I am happy to feature Kellyn Roth’s lovely novel, At Her Fingertips.

Today, I’m happy to introduce one of my author friends, Candace West, to you. Candace and I connected on social media and I’ve enjoyed getting to know her. She has a sweet spirit, and I am grateful to be able to call her a friend. Candace writes beautiful stories of hope through her historical fiction characters.

I’m thrilled to announce that it’s release day for In a Grove of Maples, my inspirational historical novel, inspired by my grandparents and their lives as Wisconsin farmers in the late 1890’s.

I’d like to extend a warm welcome to inspirational romance author, Annee Jones. I happily connected with Annee recently on Facebook and invited her to take part in an author party I hosted this spring in my Facebook group, Journeying With Jenny. I have come to realize how important community is in the author/writing world. It has been a blessing getting to know Annee. She is a sweet, talented Christian lady and a prolific writer. She has published both traditionally and independently.

Part of the fun about being an author is meeting other authors. I recently read Desire of My Heart, by Anne Perrault. I connected with Anne and Facebook and enjoy her friendly and encouraging spirit. Following is my review, where to get her books, and an author interview.
