Writing to inspire, encourage, and enjoy

Amidst the beauty of a temperate spring day, with the backdrop of a lake as blue as the sky, and a floral palette of dusty blues and burgundies, I had the privilege of celebrating, with family and friends this last Saturday, at my son’s wedding reception.

I approach the end of an enormous effort, in November 23rd the last book in my series, By the Light of the Moon, will be released.

Margot De Wilde is an unconventional woman, more predisposed to view life through the filter of numbers than feelings. Working as a code breaker during The Great War, Margot meets Drake, whom she prayed for and saw as associated with “number 18”, even before they met.

Life is precious; love is enough and the most we can ask for. In this aspect, I can be content, despite my health or how many books I sell or don’t sell, that agent I wish I had, or any number of things. I’ve lived a good life, been loved and have loved, past and present. I have been and am blessed.

I challenge us all to think a little harder, dig a little deeper, pray a little more, and clean out more than our cupboards this spring. May a physical inventory prompt an inner one. That’s what I’m striving for.

Valentine’s Day approaches, and I thought I would do a Valentine’s special blog post. ‘Tis the season of love. Of flowers and chocolate, wine and kisses. Just what does this time of year mean?
