When I first started to have issues with disability and a body that wouldn’t cooperate with my demands and reflexes, I let it define me, crush me in a way that nothing else ever had. Until I realized that I was more than what I couldn’t do…
My author journey began gradually with my love of stories, but the day I remember walking into our local library was the day I became a writer. I recall the musty, dusty, lemon oil smell, the creaking floors, and the shelves of books all calling my name. A few moments in my life I’ve seen as magical; that one qualified. Little did I know then that I would be a librarian someday, much less an author.
I can hardly believe that I have been blogging as an author for over a year. Every Monday, except for one, since February of 2019 I have posted my thoughts here in cyberspace for anyone to read.
