Writing to inspire, encourage, and enjoy

My latest full-length novel, Under the Weeping Willow, has been on a blog tour all week with the Coffee Pot Book Club. Each day featured about three or four blog stops, each sharing info about the book, me, and some excerpts.

As a part of the Coffee Pot Book Club, I am happy to feature Kellyn Roth’s lovely novel, At Her Fingertips.

Today, I thought I’d give you a larger taste of Under the Weeping Willow. This is chapter five, where Enid, along with her son’s help, works on packing up her mother’s belongings in the family home where Enid grew up. It’s a bittersweet task and one laden with a good helping of guilt…

Today, as a part of the coffee pot Book Club, I’m happy to feature Beneath a Veil of Smoke and Ash.

I have taken a break from writing for the past few months, but I am beginning to get the itch. I have two more books to write in my Botanical Seasons Novella series, but for some reason, I’m not that excited about writing them. I crave a change of pace and genre. I have always wanted to retell some fairytales.

Happy middle of the week. 🙂 I have a few fun things to share pertaining to Under the Weeping Willow, my upcoming novel.

I have not read Preacher on the Run, a Christian colonial-themed novel, but was approached by the author to be apart of her blog tour, and I accepted. Enjoy the excerpt, and be sure to click on the Rafflecopter link below to signup for Jayna’s giveaway.

Today, I am putting the spotlight on Christian fiction novel, Mercy Undeserved. I have not read this novel yet but was approached by the author to do a feature, and I am happy to do so. It sounds like a great book and series!

My first inspiration and challenge for writing Under the Weeping Willow sprung from a question: what would it be like, as a daughter, to have a strained relationship with my mother? And what would be the driving force behind it?

On Thursdays on social media, I’ve been sharing a quote from my newly released historical fiction novel, In a Grove of Maples. Today, I thought I’d give my blog followers a glimpse into my Thursday excerpts.
